Cape Simulations Inc. was established in 1992, as an off-shoot of computer modeling research work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Since then, it has been established as an internationally-recognized leader in computer simulation services, providing R&D and consulting services to a large number of industrial and R&D organizations. Shariar Motakef, Ph.D.
Dr. Motakef founded Cape Simulations in 1992, after eight years of serving on the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT. Dr. Motakef's expertise is in the area of thermo-fluids, heat transfer, elastic and inelastic deformations in bulk materials and thin films, and chemically reacting flows.
Matthew Overholt, Ph.D.
Dr. Overholt has a doctoral degree from Cornell University. Dr. Overholt's expertise is in thermo-fluids, turbulence modeling, statistical methods in fluid mechanics and radiation heat transfer, high speed flows, and design and analysis of high temperature equipment.
Piotr Becla, Ph.D.
Dr. Becla has a doctoral degree from the Warsaw University. Dr. Becla's expertise is in crystal growth, characterization, and device fabrication in compound semiconductors. Dr. Becla is a research scientist at MIT and a consultant at Cape Simulations.
Ali Moazed, Ph.D.
Dr. Moazed has a doctoral degree from University of Tennessee in Engineering Mechanics. He has over 25 years of experience in Finite Element based design, analysis and optimization. His expertise is in elasto-plastic deformations and fatigue in industrial equipment and structures, such as rotating equipment including axial and centrifugal fans, compressors, pumps and centrifuges, as well as power transformers and medical devices. Dr. Moazed is a registered professional engineer in states of Massachusetts, and California.
Kryzysztof Becla
Krys Becla graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University. Mr. Belca's expertise is in the areas of equipment design and control software, and information technology.
John Fiala, Ph.D.
Dr. Fiala has 25 years experience developing software for image processing, robotics, neural networks, and 3D visualization of scientific data.
Mohammad Kassemi, Ph.D.
Dr. Kassemi has a doctoral degree from University of Ohio. Dr. Kassemi's expertise is in the area physiological flow and structural dynamics, cardiovascular and vestibular system modeling, space-related physiological and medical disorders, as well as cryogenic fluid storage and management. Dr. Kassemi is Chief Scientist a the National Center for Exploration Research at NASA Glenn Research Center, and a consultant at Cape Simulations.
